To upgrade Windows Home to Windows Professional you need a Windows Professional Retail key. To activate this key, you must be logged into Windows Home with a Microsoft account with administrator rights. After the upgrade, you can remove the Microsoft account if you want.
In addition, your Windows Home should be up to date, so please run all updates in Windows Home. It is also recommended to disable your Antivirus software, as it can produce an error message.
Make sure that the PC is not disconnected from the power during the upgrade process.
You can enter the key in Settings==> Update and Security ==> Activation ==> Change Product Key.
