Office-Reset is a free tool designed to resolve issues and errors in Microsoft Office for Mac applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams, and AutoUpdate. It helps fix problems like app crashes, freezes, slow performance, corrupted templates, problematic plug-ins, and error messages.
You must also run this tool if you are planning to install a new Office LTSC version like Office 2021 or Office 2024 for MacOS
You can use Office-Reset to target a specific app for repair, or perform a ‘factory reset,’ returning Office to its original state as if newly installed. There’s also an option to completely remove all Office-related files, including apps, caches, preferences, and keychain entries.
The tool does not delete your personal documents or files, and it doesn’t include ads, data collection, or unwanted software installations—it simply runs, fixes the issue, and exits.
- Download the Reset package and execute it
On the welcome screen click Continue
Accept the software agreement > Continue
Agree to terms > Agree
Select install for all users of this computer
Select all the components that you want to remove (recommended to select all), click Continue
On the next screen click Install
use Fingerprint or password approve, then click OK
Wait for the installation to complete, then click Close
Congratulations! You have cleaned office and it’s components successfully.
